EIP EXPERIENCE EXCHANGE, EIP FINANCING FACILITATION AND GLOBAL EIP PUBLIC GOOD OUTREACH.
Promotes global collaboration and learning on Eco-Industrial Parks (EIPs) by sharing experiences, mobilising investments, and tailoring knowledge tools. It enhances global visibility, builds technical capacity through training, and refines international standards for EIP implementation. Monitoring and reporting ensure continuous learning and support the global uptake of effective EIP practices.
Through the Global Knowledge Management component of GEIPP, lessons learned at the country level are synthesised and shared across participating countries, which strengthens EIP implementation globally. This includes facilitating peer learning, best-practice exchange, and cross-country cooperation among policymakers, industrial park authorities, technical experts, and private-sector actors.
The programme supports Eco-Industrial Parks in accessing finance by strengthening linkages with international financial institutions and development banks, while promoting dialogue on investment models to accelerate the transition toward ecological industrial development.
Another key function is needs-based knowledge development, through the creation and sharing of tools, technical guidelines, and practical methodologies derived from implementation experiences across countries. These resources enable countries to adopt and scale up the Eco-Industrial Park model more effectively.
The programme also operates a unified global monitoring and reporting system, ensuring consistent data collection and providing a solid foundation for tracking progress, evaluating results, and informing policy adjustments. Country-level outcomes are integrated into a common system, supporting comparative analysis and mutual learning.
Finally, the programme enhances the global visibility of the Eco-Industrial Park model through knowledge dissemination, policy advocacy, capacity-building, and contributions to the development of international standards. These efforts help harmonise understanding and encourage wider adoption of EIP practices as a key pathway for sustainable industrial development and the circular economy.
