EIP OPPORTUNITIES IMPLEMENTATION, WITH SPECIFIC ENVIRONMENTAL, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL BENEFITS ACHIEVED BY INDUSTRIAL PARKS AND THEIR ENTERPRISES CONFIRMED.

With support from development partners, Viet Nam has successfully implemented EIP solutions in selected industrial parks, demonstrating tangible environmental, economic, and social benefits for both parks and participating enterprises.

  1. Enhance results achieved in the GEIPP I through continued support for implementation, improved access to finance, and strengthened collaboration with local municipalities to promote industrial-urban symbiosis; 
  2. Scaling up the implementation of EIP opportunities in additional IPs by providing tailored technical assistance based on EIP performance indicators, including support for access to finance, park management, RECP and IS implementation, urban-industrial synergies, and the promotion of green jobs, community collaboration, and development planning; 
  3. Country-wide support of EIP implementation and establishment of self-sustaining EIP capacities through strengthened partnerships, dissemination of good practices, and capacity building for stakeholders to support the adoption of policies and technical solutions at both central and local levels; 
  4. Enhance implementation of CE in EIPs by supporting business models and material circularity in selected IPs (Nam Cau Kien and Deep C), promoting industrial and urban symbiosis, and engaging local stakeholders and recycling companies; 
  5. Develop an online platform to help industrial parks and businesses report key data and indicators for assessing their EIPs, in line with the requirements of Decree 35/2022/ND-CP, and establish a system to monitor and evaluate progress using international best practices on digitalization.
