The park collects data on waste generated by businesses within the park to manage waste efficiently, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and implement industrial symbiosis activities.
Notably, VSIP Bac Ninh is one of the few industrial parks offering high-rise factory buildings to support the development of SMEs and startups. Currently, VSIP Bac Ninh provides employment for nearly 40,000 workers.
Compliance Level with the International EIP Framework
An assessment of VSIP Bac Ninh Industrial Park against the International Framework for Eco-Industrial Parks (Version 2.0) shows that the park currently meets 72% of the required criteria.
With ongoing improvements, VSIP is projected to reach up to 87% compliance within the next 2–3 years.

EIP Transition with GEIPP Support
The evaluation results highlight VSIP’s strong potential to advance further on its eco-industrial park journey. Under the GEIPP Viet Nam Programme, VSIP will receive tailored technical support to enhance resource efficiency, promote industrial symbiosis, and strengthen sustainable management practices.
With these interventions, VSIP aims to become a leading EIP model—serving as a reference point for other industrial parks in Viet Nam and across GEIPP countries. The park is also expected to be showcased as a study-tour destination for domestic and international delegations.
