UNIDO organized training sessions on the new Acess to Finance Tool (A2F) for Eco-Industrial Parks in Viet Nam on 22, 24 and 25 November 2022 with the participation of more than 130 participants from tenant companies and investors of Deep C, Hiep Phuoc and Amata Industrial Parks, and Industrial Park Authorities from Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province.

The objective of the training courses aimed to introduce the new A2F tool and provide practical guidance on how to use it, the steps to access to the necessary and available green financing sources for the transformation to eco-industrial parks (EIP).

Industrial park investors and tenant companies sometimes face challenges to mobilize financial sources. The training sessions presented and provided guidance on the use of the new A2F tool. The participants were guided by international and national financial experts through (i) an overview introduction of the tool, (ii) existing funding sources, (iii) financing options for EIP initiatives; (iv) Detailed guidance and practical exercises on the use of the A2F tool.

During the group discussion, 3 case studies were presented, and participants had a chance to practice and make use of the new A2F tool with lively presentations by each group.

Participants appreciated the user-friendliness of the tool, which provided useful information to search and match their needs with available financial sources. The tool is available here: http://eip-vietnam.org/publication/15.
