Implement regulations in Clause 3, Article 40, Point b, Clause 2, Article 53 of Decree No. 35/2022 ND-CP dated May 28, 2023 of the Government regulating the management of industrial parks and economic zones, Ministry of Planning and Investment has developed a draft circular guiding the construction of eco-industrial parks.

On 28 May 2022, the Government of Viet Nam has just issued Decree No. 35/2022/ND-CP regulating the management of industrial parks and economic zones. The Decree consists of 08 Chapters and 76 Articles, applicable to competent state agencies, organizations and individuals related to investment, production and business activities in industrial zones and economic zones. Decree 35/2022/ND-CP also stipulates in detail a number of industrial park development models, of which ecological industrial park is prominent, with policies and incentives to encourage the development of eco-industrial parks; procedures for establishment and certification of eco-industrial parks. Decree 35 will take effect on 15 July 2022, replacing Decree 82/2018/ND-CP.
